What's Nikuket?
Nikuket is a doujinshi convention that deals with creative works based on female characters with specific attributes.The character attributes that Nikuket handles are chubby, plumper, fatty&meaty, stocky , muscular, and massive. These attributes include body modification, swelling, and pregnancy.Nikuket held its first meeting in September 2007 and has been held nine times by 2020. In order to participate in Nikuket as a general visitor, you need to purchase the catalog on the day. The price of the catalog as of 2020 is 500 JPY. In order to participate in Nikuket as an exhibitor, you need to make a transfer to a Japanese bank. In addition, since the participation procedure and admission ticket will be mailed by domestic mail, we will only accept participation applications if you have contact information in Japan and can transfer to a Japanese bank.If a hotel in Japan is the contact information, such as during a long trip, Nikuket will accept the contact information as the contact information in Japan. However, you must be able to receive the mail at the hotel when the admission ticket arrives. Nikuket does not accept credit card or Paypal payments.
What's doujinshi convention(Doujinshi sokubaikai)?
A doujinshi convention is a type of fan convention that centers on the exchange of doujinshi. Doujinshi conventions are usually referred to as sokubaikai (literally "display and sale event") or ibento (from the English "event").Conventions that focus on one particular source work, character, or pairing are called "only events" , or also "only doujinshi markets". Most conventions center on the sale of doujinshi. Frequently, other fanworks such as music CDs, accessories, and cosplay pictures are also sold. Some conventions include cosplay events, while others forbid cosplaying. Some conventions also include stage shows or debates among fans and sometimes academics. Conventions are seen as places for fans to socialize. While extremely crowded conditions sometimes make it difficult or impolite to loiter in front of a circle's space, fans frequently take the opportunity to chat with their favorite circles, give small gifts of candy to show their appreciation, and so on. Participating circles may also leave their spaces for a short time to visit the spaces of friends and exchange free copies of both circles' newest works.
